1 December: Dream weaver
Today I had a extra lesson with sir so I could catch up on my blog. I leanred how to use navigation's that are linked to each other on the same pages. This made designing my website a lot easier to design because I could have the same thing on each page without having to repeat and do it over again, also I could delete it if I wanted to off the page. I also finished the structure of the web design in Dreamweaver now I had to add the context and pictures within the tables.

Client
My Web-Design Client: Nikita Lewis
Type of web site: Professional journalist site
Preferably white back ground in
a simple style
Introduction of my Client:
My client is an aspiring journalist by the name Nikita Lewis. She is
17years old and would like to study journalism in university. She wants a web
site to promote her journalism also to give her the right publicity online. She
wants to go on to becoming a print journalist for magazines or entertainment
sections for newspapers. In the website
I am going to design the website with different sections. She is into
entertainment journalism so I am going to include a home page with details
about the site indicating that it is a journalist site. I will also include a
‘about me’ page which will include details about Nikita her experience and what
she hopes to achieve in the future, the ‘about me’ page will also include hyper
links to her blog, twitter page and facebook page also a direct email for inquiries
box. She also wants me to create a ‘feature’ page which will include her
entertainment articles with pictures.
03/11/11 Measurements
In today’s lesson I began to measure my
final design and create a table for it. How I did this was I transferred my
idea on to Photoshop form illustrator then used the ruler tool to measure it in
pixels. I used a blank paper to draw the right measurements so I could have an
idea of how the tables would look like making it easier for me later on when I
do transfer everything on to dreamweaver.
03/10/11 Feedback
I got feedback from my client about which
design ideas she's liked the most and what changes she would like to make or
adjust. I then began to create my final design. Once I finished it I made sure
that my client was satisfied with it. I also began thinking about the colour
coding for when I use dream weaver. I also sketched out a storyboard about the
navigation of the web and where pages will direct too.
28/09/11 Mood Board/ First design
Today I finished my mood board and got
feedback from my client too see if I was on the right track with how my client
wanted her website to look like.
Once I got my feedback I began to sketch my first web site design. I also re did my design on illustrator. I created another web design on illustrator different from the first one so I could give more options for my client to have.

26/09/11 - Mood Board
Today I had a discussion with my client Nikita
who is an inspiring journalist to get a brief idea of what she wanted her web
site to consist of.
When I got the information I browsed a few websites that are similar to what she wanted e.g blog websites and magazine web sites and print screen them so I could start drawing up mood board full of ideas.
I took all that I found and also additional information about what colour codes, font and pages I should add and started to create a mood bored.
