Thriller Conventions

Things that you expect to see in thrillers are

• Fast moving images- Images that leave the audience confused and in suspense usually used before the villein is revealed.
• Black and white text- To keep the credits simple which also creates a mysterious theme.
• Dark lighting- Creates a mysterious atmosphere also a spooky one.
• Contrast in picture images- Used in thrillers when they want to add effect to the mysterious side of things.
• Suspension- Usually left by not revealing peoples identities.
• No dialogue- This adds to the suspense and mystery.
• Backing track/music- Usually echoey sounds or music that leaves the audience in suspense.
